Erin and Johnathan’s Zion wedding was one of those days where everything just seemed to line up! It was a beautiful, warm November day, and they got ready at a cozy little suite in Springdale, just outside the entrance to Zion National Park. From there, we headed into the park for their ceremony on the lawn at Zion Lodge, surrounded by the massive canyon walls. It was a pretty incredible place to get married!
After the ceremony, we headed out for some portraits on the Zion Overlook Trail. I was told the hike would be “pretty easy,” which I’m still not sure I believe. It was definitely more of a hike than I was expecting, but once we reached the top and saw the view, it was completely worth it. Zion opened up around us, and we had an incredible backdrop for some pretty epic photos.
We finished the day back in Springdale with the reception, good food, drinks, and a fire pit outside as the evening cooled down. It was a relaxed and fun way to end an amazing day in Zion. If you’re planning a wedding or elopement in Zion, I’d love to photograph it! Get in touch and let’s make a plan.
